JSFM holds National Rally against enforced disappearances of Sindhis, Baloch and Pashtuns

In a powerful display of solidarity, the Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) organized a National Rally in Sann City, Sindh, to vehemently condemn the alarming rise in enforced disappearances of Sindhi, Baloch, and Pashtun political workers. The rally brought together a multitude of activists, supporters, and community members from across Sindhudesh.

The participants, carrying banners and placards, marched through the streets of Sann City, chanting slogans demanding an end to the enforced disappearances and justice for the missing political workers. The atmosphere was charged with a collective determination to address the ongoing human rights violations in the region.

Baloch, Sindhis and Pashtuns fighting oppression

Interestingly, JSFM’s national rally comes at a time when the crimes against Sindhis and minority Hindus is on the rise in Sindh. Additionally, Baloch have also been protesting, holding long march and sit-in movement to fight the Pakistani oppression and the Baloch genocide. Similar is the case with Pashtuns, who are sitting at the Chaman border for more than 3 months demanding their rights while one of the most influential voice of Pashtuns named, Manzoor Pashteen has been abducted by the Pakistani establishment.

These horrendous violation of law and order in a coercively amalgamated geographical entity that calls itself Pakistan, call for a more unified community response based on national solidarity.

Earlier, the Pashtun Rights activists have also called for a unified approach of Baloch, Sindhis and Pashtuns against the oppression of the Pakistan Army led establishment. While joining the Baloch genocide long march in Quetta, Provincial President of PTM (Balochistan) Noor Bacha asked all the communities be it Sindhis, Baloch or Pashtun, to unite and give a tough fight for the rights of people. So, JSFM’s national rally commends the efforts of all the communities in unifying their struggle.

So, JSFM’s rally holds immense significance when it comes to the fight against persecution of these communities by Pakistan.

Pakistan launches retaliatory airstrike on Iran

In a retaliatory move, Pakistan conducted airstrikes within Iran, with the Pakistan Air Force reportedly targeting hideouts in Iranian territory where groups wanted by Pakistan were believed to be located.

This action came after Tehran claimed to have used “precision missile and drone strikes” to destroy two important headquarters of Pak-sponsored Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan a day earlier. In reaction, Islamabad denounced the violation of its sovereignty as “completely unacceptable” and issued a warning of “severe consequences.”

As per the Iranian media reports, the attack led to the killings of 4 children and 3 women.

Official confirmation from Pakistan

According to a statement from the Pakistan foreign ministry, the country carried out a series of well-coordinated and specifically targeted military strikes against hideouts in the Sistan-Baluchistan province of Iran.

The statement mentioned the elimination of a “number of terrorists”, but it also acknowledged the unfortunate deaths of at least three women and four children in one of the explosions, clarifying that they were not Iranian nationals.

Reportedly, missiles launched from Pakistan hit a border village in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchistan province. Meanwhile, officials in Pakistan-occupied-Balochistan province, bordering Iran, confirmed that four missiles struck the Panjgur district near the border.
The missiles hit the village of Koh-i-Sabaz, approximately 50 kilometers (31 miles) inside Pak-occupied Balochistan.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul-Haq Kakar met with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. During this meeting, Iran announced its targeting of Jaish al-Adl bases inside Pakistan using drone and missile strikes.
Jaish al-Adl, labeled a “terrorist” organization by Iran, was established in 2012 and operates in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchistan province. The group has previously carried out numerous attacks on Iranian security forces, including an attack in December that resulted in the deaths of at least 11 police personnel.

Iran has accused Pakistan of harbouring Jaish al-Adl, a Sunni extremist group designated as a terrorist organization by Tehran. Pakistan, in turn, has accused Iran of supporting Baloch freedom fighters fighting against the Pakistani occupation of Balochistan.

BYC sparks massive protest in Pasni, Gwadar & Tump against Pak Army atrocities

In response to the call made by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), a significant crowd including women and children demonstrating powerful unity gathered in Pasni yesterday. Highlighting their shared concerns and determination to address the atrocities by the Pak Army.

Also, in response to BYC’s call to express solidarity with the Baloch protestors in Islamabad, tens of thousands of people including women and children rallied in Gwadar. This demonstrates the coordinated effort by the Baloch community and signalling a united front against the brutality of the Pak Army.

Baloch Yakjheti Committee also led a massive protest in Tump, majorly women and children led this protest. These massive rallies help the Baloch community to make their voices louder and foster a sense of unity and solidarity. This widespread support underscores the significance of these concerns not only locally but on a global scale, fostering a positive change.

Recently, BYC has led a series of protests and rallied in cities such as Gresha, Karkh, Dhadar and Khuzdar. This demonstrates the increasing strength of the movement against the Baloch genocide, with the call for justice resonating throughout the diverse landscapes of Pakistan-occupied Balochistan. This rally serves as a powerful expression of solidarity and unity in the face of difficulties.

The Pak Army is waging a systematic assault on humanity in Balochistan. Since March 27, 1948, the Baloch people have faced regular home invasions, kidnappings for ransom, target killings, forced disappearances, and torture. Exploitation has been directed towards the resource-rich provinces of Pakistan-occupied Balochistan, where the Pak Army is executing an evil plan to loot the region’s wealth.

Shia scholar Agha Ali Rizvi leads wheat subsidy protest in POGB; vows to dismantle Assembly

Protest in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan (POGB) have intensified to a level that the protestors are now challenging directly to Pakistan and its puppet government in the region. In the latest development, Agha Ali Rizvi lambasted the occupying Pak government and stated that the protest will now end after the complete dismantling of the Assembly.

Agha Ali said, “We will walk away from here after the Assembly ends. By god’s grace, when our plan starts, you will get to know about it. We will bury you along with the Assembly.” He went on to say that in front of the willpower of people, no one can stand a chance. Agha Ali gave a clear message by saying, “Neither there will be Chief Minister nor there would be any CM office.”

He warned that whnever there will be any need the people of Baltistan will reach Gilgit. Meanwhile, the slogans of “Chalo Chalo Gilgit Chalo” (Lets go to Gilgit)were also raised by the protestors.

While winding up his speech, Agha Ali once again warned the CM of occupying government. He said, “Gulbar Khan and other leaders, keep this in mind, if we can make you, we have the power to destroy you.”

Notably, the protest in POGB against the abolition of subsidies and health card along with the long power cuts and imposition of increased taxes under newly crafted Finance Act of 2023 has reached 23 days. However, despite massive protest in bone-chilling -5o temperature, the occupying government under the influence of its Islamabad masters has only used coercion to curb the protest. Hence, the anger of the people is reaching a tipping point.

Radical Islamist abducts and converts another minor Hindu girl in Pak-occupied Sindh

In a distressing series of events, multiple cases of abductions and forced conversions of minor Hindu girls have been reported, shedding light on the precarious situation faced by the minority Hindu community in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

In the latest development, a minor Hindu girl named Nazia, daughter of Baadal Bheel, has been forcefully converted to Islam after being abducted by a radical Islamist named, Babar Ali in Larkana, Pakistan occupied Sindh. Similarly from Pak-occupied Sindh’s Tando Allahyar, minor Hindu Varsha Kolhi became victim of abduction and forced conversion. Varsha was reportedly, abducted by Nazeer Buledi.

Apart from Nazia and Varsha, Lali Bheel, another minor Hindu girl was also abducted. This time the perpetrator named, Abdullah barged into the girl’s house in Umerkot city of Pakistan occupied Sindh and abducted her at the gunpoint. Despite recurring incidents of targeted abductions and conversions, the law enforcement has mostly remained numb while taking the action.

These abduction and conversion cases of minor Hindu girls, yet again underscore a deeply disturbing trend of harassment and persecution, particularly targeting minority Hindus. These acts appear to be driven by a bigoted pursuit of Islamization, leaving the vulnerable Hindu women and girls at the forefront of this alarming situation.

Protests against Baloch genocide by Pak Army surge across Pak-occupied Balochistan

In a vibrant display of unity, thousands of people rode motorbikes and cars in Gresha in a resolute cry for justice for the Baloch community. This Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) led demonstration is only one part of a growing wave of protests that calls for an end to all atrocities faced by the Baloch community by the oppressive Pak Army.

This is just another instalment in a series of rallies, as the BYC led another mass demonstration in Karkh yesterday, where people can be seen holding banners, and passionately chanting for life resistance, peace, and freedom and calling for an end to the systemic oppression that is faced by the innocent Baloch community.

In its continued and resolute effort to address the issues of the Baloch community, BYC arranged a massive rally in Dhadar, Bolan. This protest is part of BYC’s third phase of the campaign against the “Baloch genocide.”

Yet another impactful march in Khuzdar was organised by the BYC as part of its commitment to end the prevailing human rights issues and advocate for justice for the Baloch people. This vibrant march was diverse and inclusive of hundreds of women and children who took to the streets to voice their protest.

The BYC’s tireless efforts in several areas, such as Dhadar, Bolan, Gresha, and Karkh, demonstrate the increasing strength of the movement against the Baloch genocide, with the call for justice resonating throughout the diverse landscapes of Balochistan.

Mahrang Baloch meets UN mission officials to Pakistan

In a glimmer of hope for the struggling Baloch community, prominent activists Sammi Baluch and Mahrang Baloch met with the representatives from the United Nations mission to Pakistan yesterday. This represents a significant step in its constant pursuit of an impartial inquiry into human rights issues in the area by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).

BYC was able to garner widespread support for its petition to the UN fact-finding mission to Balochistan. In less than ten hours, the petition drew over 10,000 signatures representing the solidarity and urgency to address the violations of human rights in Pakistan-occupied Balochistan.

The human rights violations committed against the Baloch community during their forcible occupation by the Pak Army on March 27, 1948, have resulted in a miserable list of suffering. Since then, horrifying daily reports have surfaced on home raids, enforced disappearances, staged encounters, torture, humiliation at checkpoints, kidnappings/ abduction for ransom etc.

A UN-led probe would send a strong message to the offenders to put human rights first and ensure that the Baloch people are given justice. The BYC has pledged to keep up its lobbying efforts, pressing the UN to fulfil its word and send a fact-finding team to Balochistan. The meeting today was an important step in making sure that the voices of the Baloch people are ultimately heard even though the future is uncertain, their calls for justice are taken seriously.

J&K police apprehends notorious drug peddler with 7000 banned tablets in Rajouri

In a significant operation, the Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri have arrested a notorious drug peddler, Sheikh Azar (32), recovering a substantial consignment of 7000 banned tablets, including tranadol and tependadole. The arrest was made by a police team led by Deputy SP Headquarter Rajouri, in collaboration with SHO and Incharge Police Post city. The interception occurred in Rajouri town, leading to the apprehension of Sheikh Azar, a resident of ward no 08 in Rajouri.

The peddler, known for his notorious activities, had been under police surveillance for days. Initially, 1000 tablets were recovered during his arrest. On subsequent inquiry by the police, he revealed information about an additional 6000 tablets. Notably, the recovery also included tablets intended to counteract the effects of the banned drugs.

While the source of the tablets remains unclear, law enforcement authorities are actively pursuing the case. The SHO Rajouri has said that batch numbers from the seized tablets will be crucial in determining the origin, enabling authorities to take appropriate action.

This arrest is part of the police’s ongoing crackdown on narcotic peddlers in Rajouri district, reflecting their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards drug abuse. Several notorious drug peddlers have already been detained under the PIT NDPS Act in the district as part of these efforts. Further investigation into this recent apprehension is underway.

POGB: Protestors give stern warning to the Pak-backed occupying government

The number of days of protest in Pakistan occupied Gilgit Baltistan (POGB) are increasing and so is the aggressiveness of the protestors. Since past 21 days, people across POGB are raising their voices for the basic amenities crucial for their survival. But neither the occupying government has taken cognizance of the protests, nor the media has given it a due share in mainstream media reporting. Accordingly, the voice of protest is becoming fiercer. In one such incident, stern warning was given to the establishment and the occupying government. One of the speakers at the protest no one could bring them down. He said, “neither any minister could bring us down nor the establishment could bring us down. On the contrary, we would bring you down.”

Warning the occupying government, the speaker said, “I have said it earlier, saying it now and would aways say this; if the wheat issue is not solved or if the health card issue is not solved, we will solve your assembly dispute.” He went on to say, “We will destroy your assembly.” Notably, POGB is a disputed territory which is under the control of Pakistan. So, the statement serves as a clear warning to the Pakistani establishment that if the wheat crisis is not solved, people of POGB have the right to decide the constitutional fate of the region.

Calls of revisiting 1947 status

In a similar tone, earlier Shia scholar Sheikh Mirza Ali had also warned Pakistan. He had said that if Pakistan can’t provide subsidy, then it should come to negotiations of 1947, clearly signaling towards Pakistan’s control of POGB.

Notably, it has been months that Pakistan occupied Gilgit Baltistan (POGB) is protesting over the increase in wheat prices. The abolition of health cards, long power cuts, and imposition of fresh and increased taxes under finance Act 2023 further agitated the people across the region. Since December 26, these protests took shape of a movement. While Pakistan and its puppet government in POGB are using force to stop the protests and deter the protestors, people are more aggressively raising their voice. With each passing day the protestors’ remarks are becoming sharper showing the restlessness of the people.  But Pakistan Army is busy imposing Section 144, inclusion of protestors in Schedule 4, equating them with terrorist.

These measures of Pakistan would surely end up in making things troublesome for it’s authoritarian establishment.

Pak Army kills another Baloch refugee in Pak-occupied Balochistan

In yet another merciless act the Pak Army has once again targeted an innocent Baloch refugee Zahir Baloch in Zarabad, Pakistan-occupied Balochistan. Zahir Baloch was shot dead by the Pak Army on January 13, 2024, and his tragic death is evidence of the horrific atrocities carried out by the Pak Army in Mashkay, where he was forced to flee his home in Kandadi in 2020 as a result of their brutal military operations.

Tragically, Zahir Baloch’s death is not an isolated incident. Like him, countless other Baloch refugees have suffered violence at the hands of the Pak Army. A long list of miseries has resulted from the human rights violations against the Baloch community during their forced occupation by the Pak Army on March 27, 1948. Since then, horrifying daily reports about home invasions, kidnappings and abductions for ransom, enforced disappearances, staged encounters, torture, and humiliation at checkpoints have surfaced.

It is impossible to overestimate the urgent need for global attention given that these ongoing acts of brutality constitute a troubling pattern of injustice. Every incident increases the number of innocent lives lost, necessitating the international community’s swift investigation and condemnation. Collective action must be taken to end the widespread violations of human rights and to demand justice for those who have suffered at the hands of the Pak Army, as the plight of the Baloch people cannot be ignored any longer.
