Pakistan deports Pashtuns under the garb of Afghan repatriation efforts

Pakistan has started deporting the Afghan civilians through Durand line. This happens after months of illegal crackdown and harassment of Afghan civilians living across Pakistan specially Sindh. Amidst this repatriation of Afghan refugees, Pakistan is also reported to have been targeting Pashtuns and deporting them.

Under the garb of repatriating undocumented Afghan civilians, the Pakistan Army and its puppet establishment has continued to harass the Pashtun tribes. It is worth noting that the clashes between TTP and Pakistan Army in Chitral had led to humiliation of Pakistan as they suffered huge losses at the hands of terrorist organisation that they have breaded.

Frustrated by this, Pakistan Army launched an illegal assault over the Afghan civilians who were living in Pakistan since the Taliban takeover of the region.Pakistan gave the deadline of 31st October to all Afghan civilians for their voluntary return and after that they started captivating the Afghan civilians and putting them into detention camps.

This uncalculated and unplanned deportation which is carried out in a hurry has created problems for the Pashtuns living in Pakistan. Accordingly, the Pashtuns are deliberately picked up by the Pakistan Army and deported across durand line.

Recently a video went viral in which Pashtun family was having fierce discussion with the so-called security official, according to which a boy of Pashtun origin and national of Pakistan was forcefully deported to Afghanistan. His family was questioning over the procedures followed with no satisfying reply from the official.

Quoting this, PTM chief Manzoor Pashteen tweeted, “The people of Pakhtunkhwa are also being forcibly deported from Sindh, Punjab to Pakistan. Regarding Pashtun and Baloch, Pakistan has same Bengal formula that they want land not people.”

Balochistan: Attack on Pakistan Army soldiers, 14 killed

A deadly attack occurred in the coastal city of Gwadar in occupied Balochistan, 14 Pakistan Army personnel have been killed. The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, ISPR has also confirmed the attack.

According to ISPR, the attack unfolded as Pakistan forces were ambushed while traveling in two vehicles of a QRF at Malgore Bent. The attack took place while forces were on a move from Pasni tehsil of Gwadar to Ormara. The death toll of 14 Pakistan Army personnel killed has also been confirmed by the ISPR.

Notably, no group or organization has claimed responsibility for this attack at the time of reporting. The region has witnessed previous large-scale attacks on security forces, underscoring the persistent security challenges in this volatile area.

The incident is reminiscent of similar attack from 2020 when an alliance of Baloch freedom fighters (BRAS ) carried out an attack in the same region, resulting in the death of 15 personnel and the capture of weapons.

Hezbollah launches rocket attacks on Israel

In a sudden and alarming escalation of tensions in the volatile Middle East region, the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah, launched a series of rocket attacks on northern Israel. These attacks resulted in the destruction of numerous vehicles and buildings, causing widespread concern and immediate international attention.

According to reports, Hezbollah initiated these rocket attacks from the southern Lebanese border, targeting multiple locations in northern Israel. As a consequence of these attacks, a significant number of Israeli vehicles and residential buildings were engulfed in flames, leading to substantial damage and chaos in the affected areas.

The spokesperson for Hezbollah disclosed that they launched rocket attack by employing explosive drones for the first time against Israel. The drones were used to target the headquarters of an Israeli battalion and Israeli soldiers, adding a new dimension to the ongoing tensions in the region.

In response to the rocket attacks, Israeli forces swiftly retaliated by launching counteroffensive measures, including airstrikes and artillery bombardments on southern Lebanon. This immediate retaliation signified the gravity of the situation and the potential for further escalation in this long-standing conflict.

Terrorists attack Pakistan Air Force base, heavy damage incurred

Pakistan Air Force base has been attacked by terrorists in Mianwali, Punjab. The attack took place today early in the morning. The terrorists associated with Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) carried out the attack at the airbase in what is being reported as a suicide bombing at the dawn of Saturday.

As per the latest information, about 6-10 terrorists carried out the attack and 9 have been killed so far. Pakistan Air Force sustained heavy losses including some aircrafts and armored vehicles.

Although the ISPR has claimed that the attack was successfully foiled, the ground reports and video clips tell a different story altogether.

The attack comes in the wake of various lethal attacks across Pakistan which left 17 Pak Army soldiers dead. The first attack occurred yesterday in Pasni, Balochistan where 14 personnel were killed in an ambush. Later, there was a bomb blast in Dera Ismail Khan followed by an operation by Pak Army in Khaibar Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat. In a fourth incident, another remote controlled bomb blast rocked Dera Ismail Khan which left about 5 people dead and 24 injured, including some officials.

Pakistan is grappling with insecurity as it has always harboured terrorists who are now giving it the taste of its own medicine. The terrorist that have been patronised by Pakistan to create instability in the subcontinent especially, Afghanistan and India are now targeting it back questioning its legitimacy. The way Pakistan Air Force base has been attacked is clearly an example for those states who try to instigate terrorism in other countries.

Minor Hindu girls forcefully married & converted to Islam in Sindh

In the ruthless and unending string of abductions and conversions of minor Hindu girls in Pakistan, another unfortunate girl has had her name added to the list. Premi, daughter of Moti Meghwar was forcibly abducted from her house in Tharparkar, Sindh and was converted to Islam.

As per her conversion paper, she has now been named Najma. She got converted by Pir Ayub Jan Farooqui, a radical Islamic fundamentalist operating from Samaro, Umerkot (Amarkot). Pir Ayub Jan Farooqui is known for carrying out illicit and coerced Islamisation of Hindus in the region. Reports suggest that Pir Ayub Jan Farooqi aka Pir Ayub Jan Sirhandi targets Hindus especially girls from Umarkot (Amarkot)  and Tharparkar. These two districts have significant Hindu population of about 65% including the one of the poorest communities- Meghwar, Bheel and Kolhi. Asad Chandio, a veteran Sindhi journalist, in an interaction with media had said, “Pir Farooqui has vowed that he will not rest at ease until each and every Hindu in Umarkot and Tharparkar convert to Islam.”

Unfortunately, this is happening under the nose of Paki establishment and no action has eve been taken to stop it.

Married off to Maulana

Nonetheless, the troubles for Premi didn’t end with the conversion only. After her conversion she was coerced into a marriage with an aged Maulana named Aziz-Ur-Rehman. Like every single case of abduction and conversion of minor Hindu girl in Pakistan, Premi was also forced to confess that she has got converted and married out of her own free will. On the basis of forged papers and conversion certificates, poor Premi has now been declared as 20-years-old, who got converted to Islam and married to Maulana with her own choice.

The so-called “Affidavit of free will” also accuses her parents of trying to frame Maulana in fake charges and planning to kill them both. Evidently, the poor minority communities who face persecution and lawlessness on a daily basis in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan don’t have the power to frame a radical Islamist that has got patronage from the cleric as well as the court, especially a bigoted Maulana. It is nothing but a proof that Islamisation in Pakistan is carried out with proper planning and with contribution from every stackholder involved in the process viz, cleric, law enforcement, politicians and judiciary.

Meanwhile another incidents also surfaced where conversions and abductions of Hindu women and girls had taken place. In Khipro, Sindh a minor Hindu girl named Shanti, daughter of Sanwal has been abducted and converted to Islam by Nazeer Kumbar, she is reported to have been married off to abductor.

Frequent cases in few days

Amidst the frequent tragic cases of abduction and conversion, a case of illegal conversion of a Hindu women along with her children has also shocked the community. Monar was taken to the infamous Bharchundi Sharif Dargah in Daharki, Sindh. She was taken to the dargah with her three minor kids. The radical bigot Javed Ahmad Quadri converted all of them to Islam.

PTM reaches out to UN High Commissioner on Afghan refugee detention in Pakistan

PTM, the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement has taken the issue of Afghan refugees in Pakistan to the United Nations.

In a significant move the PTM’s United Kingdom arm, PTM UK has reached out to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Geneva through a letter. In a letter addressed to the HCHR, Mr. TURK Volker, PTM UK has highlighted the “harassment, intimidation, arbitrary detention and torture of Afghan nationals/refugees in Pakistan.”

PTM UK emphasized that the precarious situation continues in Pakistan with impunity and law enforcement agencies have unleashed a reign of terror on Afghan migrants.

It is worth mentioning that the deadline given to Afghan migrants by Pakistan to voluntarily return to Afghanistan has ended on October 31st. Accordingly, Pakistan has started to arrest the undocumented Afghan civilians and put them into detention camps.

J&K: Four Pak backed terrorists arrested in Baramulla

In a recent operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with security forces, arrested four terrorist associates affiliated with the banned terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and The Resistance Front (TRF). The operation, which took place in Baramulla, resulted in the confiscation of arms, ammunition, and other potential evidence related to illegal activities.

According to an official statement by the police, the incident occurred on October 30, 2023, when a joint team consisting of Baramulla Police, the Army’s 52RR, and CRPF’s 53Bn, established a checkpoint at the Naradhiri Dangerpora junction. At the checkpoint, two individuals aroused suspicion upon seeing the security personnel and attempted to flee. They were subsequently apprehended.

The two individuals identified as Ghulam Hassan Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir, a resident of Muran Tangwari Chandoosa, and Mukhtar Ahmad Khan, son of Mohd Afzal Khan, hailing from Pinjwara Laridora Chandoosa are terrorist associates of LeT and TRF.

A search of the suspects’ possessions led to the discovery of a Chinese pistol, a pistol magazine, 12 live rounds, two hand grenades, and other materials believed to be connected to illegal activities.

FIR and Investigation

Following the arrests, a case, FIR No. 68/2023, was registered at Police Station Sheeri, and an investigation was initiated.

As part of the ongoing investigation, two more individuals, Altaf Ahmad Rather, son of Abdul Ahad Rather, from Kawhar, and Farooq Ahmad Naqeeb, son of Abdul Gaffar Naqeeb, a resident of Kunzar, were called in for questioning. During their interrogation, both individuals confessed to possessing hand grenades. Subsequently, two hand grenades were recovered from their possession, leading to their arrest in connection with the ongoing case.

The investigation has revealed that all four arrested individuals were associated with Terrorist Associate Mudasir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Kunzer. Mudasir is currently detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

Evidently, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been actively dismantling the terror modules either by eliminating them or by arresting them. Since the past few months, various terrorists have been arrested and killed by the security forces.

Pakistan: Deadline for voluntary return ends, arrest of Afghan refugees starts

As Pakistan’s deadline for Afghan refugees and other foreign nationals living within its borders came to an end, a massive operation was launched to apprehend and relocate these individuals to detention camps. This move is part of a broader effort to regulate and control the presence of undocumented foreign residents within the country.

The operation began immediately after the deadline expiration, with reports of arrests and detainments coming from across Pakistan. In Karachi, for instance, four Afghan nationals were arrested and subsequently transferred to a holding camp. The District East Police deployed a substantial force to Sohrab Goth Square, using loudspeakers to instruct undocumented foreigners to comply with the authorities and return to their respective countries.

Repatriation efforts start in Islamabad

Similarly, in Islamabad, after the government’s deadline for Afghan and other foreign residents had lapsed, the police conducted an extensive operation in the E-11 sector, leading to the transfer of numerous individuals to the Golra Police Station. Islamabad’s law enforcement has now initiated a comprehensive crackdown on foreign nationals residing within the city.

The situation is not limited to Islamabad and Karachi alone; reports from Chaman district in Balochistan indicate that dozens of foreigners have been detained from various areas. Afghan refugees families are being registered and moved to a camp specifically designated for this purpose. It is estimated that more than 5,000 Afghan migrants have already reached this camp.

Provincial police chiefs are actively involved in overseeing these operations. The Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Akhtar Haiat Khan, has stated that illegal foreign residents in his province will be relocated to specific facilities and ultimately repatriated. Over 100,000 illegal foreign residents have already voluntarily left the region.

Punjab and Rawalpindi

In Punjab, the Inspector General, Usman Anwar, announced that the eviction of illegal foreign residents will be conducted in phases, commencing on November 3. Holding points will be established to manage the transition, with the district administration responsible for logistics and security.

In Rawalpindi, more than 100 illegally resident Afghans were detained following the deadline, and holding centers were set up in Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Rawalpindi. Those detained will be sent to the Torkham border for repatriation. Additionally, the police have taken action against individuals who provide shelter or employment to illegal foreign residents.

Hence, the situation remains dynamic, with illegal Afghan residents reportedly going into hiding across Rawalpindi. Law enforcement agencies continue to conduct operations to apprehend these individuals, as no voluntary surrenders have been reported.

Accordingly, in Sargodha, authorities have collected data on over 4,800 illegally resident foreigners across the district, with 470 residing without proper documentation. The first phase of eviction for these illegal residents is set to begin soon.

The government’s efforts to regulate the presence of undocumented foreign nationals in Pakistan have entered a critical phase. It involves comprehensive operations and coordination among various law enforcement agencies and authorities across the country. The exact scale and impact of these operations are expected to become clearer as they unfold in the coming weeks.
